Project for Design III - Intermediate I at UTSOA.
The project was completed during my third semester of architecture school, or fall of 2016. The project began with a parametric conceptual design model. This was a collaborative effort with a classmate. We began by creating a shape and then finding every possible way to attach the shapes and connect them to create new forms. We eventually programmed them to change in size and orientation and then produceĀ a model that incorporated every size and orientation of the unit. After that, we were to impose our systems on to the site of the Texas State Capitol and design an individual system to impose a mass there as well. The resulting mass was then altered slightly to absorb the program of a Visitors' Center that was to accompany the Texas State Capitol. The renderings were done in V-Ray for Rhino and then edited in Adobe Photoshop. The model is made of basswood sticks.
